“In its determination and total commitment to protect the lives and properties of the citizens, the Zamfara State Police Command has secured the unconditional release of eight (8) abducted victims, who were abducted on August 25, 2021, at Kangon Sabuwa in Bungudu LGA,” the Zamfara State Police Command said.
The victims who were kidnapped and carried to the Kungurmi bandits camp were rescued by the police in a safe manner, with no cash or material benefit.
Medical officials examined the abducted victims, who were then debriefed by the police and returned with their relatives.
Commissioner of Police Ayuba N. Elkana told Zamfara State residents that the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, is strengthening various search and rescue techniques that will result in the unconditional rescue of further victims.
