Traditional leader in Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State have urged all parents to give adequate support to Polio Immunization activities for better health and living standards of their children.
The District Head of Makarfi Mallam Adamu Abdullahi stated this while speaking at the Road Show performance organized by the Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio JAP, held in Ghana Village in the area during a recent polio Immunization Campaign in Kaduna State.
Mallam Adam Abdullahi who reflected on the disturbing conditions of children that have been crippled by polio virus wondered why some parents were yet to comply with the polio vaccination.
He commended JAP for coming out with the initiative of entertaining children and the community in general during polio campaign exercises and urged the organization not to relent in that direction.
Mallam Adamu Abdullahi also expressed appreciation to the Federal Government, Kaduna State Government, WHO and other development partners for their firm support over the years towards bringing the end of Polio in the world and Kaduna State in particular.
Responding, the Kaduna State coordinator of the Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio JAP Mallam Lawal Dogara said the organization for the past 16 years has been tirelessly engaging parents.
